The month of January

This last month i feel has been pretty busy! That second week that BYU-I started was when i started babysitting a little girl named Natalie. Shes now 9 months old and such a fun cute little girl to tend. I watch her the 3 days im not at work. And i will do that till the end of May i believe. Work tue thur and sat and babysit mon wed and fri. Plus doing school on top of that. Staying busy busy! Me and Natalie have discovered that she loves to slow dance in the kitchen. I have the cutest video of it too. :)

January 12th was my sister's birthday! She and her husband moved to pocatello the week before so on the day of her birthday, my whole family drove down there to see her new place and have a birthday dinner. Easy, relaxing day. I miss her every day and am sad shes not close to me anymore. Even though pocatello isnt that far away its not like i can just call her up and get with her with the snap of our fingers. But, im grateful shes still close enough that i can go visit her if i want to. Which i have already done :)
Clearly the boys had a great time at her birthday party ;) haha

And this is when i went to visit her. Miss her already!

I did my sisters hair at work the other day. She wanted something subtle yet noticable. So, we went with an ombre. This was my 2nd ever ombre and i felt like it turned out so good! This picture doesnt do it justice and its kinda shadowed so it looks uneven. But, i promise it was all even and gorgeous!

Me and caleb got a parking ticket due to us forgetting to park in our driveway..I hate the rule you cant park on the street in the winter even if there is no snow to plow on the streets. ugh.

So the other day, me and caleb were FINALLY able to go grocery shopping. And that day just ended up so weird. Here's how it went in a nutshell. We drove to Wal Mart, Caleb realized we had a flat tire. Like 100% flat. So we slowly and carefully drove to less schwab and ended up having to get 2 new tires. But on the way there, there was a HUGE scene in the middle of the intersection by arbys where people were running all over the place and pounding on this ladys window and the lady drove onto the sidewalk. Traffic was held up clear down the street. cops came. It was the weirdest 60 seconds of mine and calebs life. We felt as though we were in a scene from world war z or something. bizzare. Anywho, after we got our cars tires fixed, we went grocery shopping and ended up getting sprayed with soda in albertsons because this little old lady accidentally dropped a 2 liter pop and it litterally exploded and acted like a bottle rocket. So yes. Weird day. Flat tire, world war z scene, soda rocket in albertsons that soaks me and caleb and our groveries, $ 450 dollars later, we were home. THANK GOODNESS.

We have basically sold our car! bitter sweet because i loved that car. But, we needed something bigger. We still have to talk to the bank and do all that paperwork and stuff but its gonna be gone within this week! Then comes car shopping.
Goodbye Honda Accord. You have been good to us!

I ended up at my parents house the other night and basically got to watch my brother give my sister guitar lessons. My brother got a guitar a couple christmases ago and he has just boomed with it. He can now play the acoustic guiter, electric guiter, and banjo. And i LOVE hearing him play. It could put me to sleep every night :)

And then that night i started getting nauseous. So i went home because it kept getting stronger and stronger. Yep, you guessed it. I have had the stomach flu all weekend. Its been aweful. I would take ANYTHING over being nauseous. Hate that stuff. So, i didnt babysit yesterday or work today. Hopefully another day and ill be good as new.

Calebs doing awesome in school. I am so proud of him. He's doing awesome juggling work and school and i couldnt be prouder of him :)

My school is slowly but surely still a rollin! Im a little past half way through and its still going pretty good! It is getting harder and harder but i really enjoy learning about teeth. Its fascinating to me. I would totally be a dentist if the school wasnt a million years long. haha.

Libbie is still just awesome! Shes best at making me and caleb laugh. She gets SO SO incredibly jealous when Natalie is here. I cant believe how jealous she gets when im holding Natalie. I thought things would get better with time but im not sure its gonna get any better. She whines and barks like shes being beaten. Which is so weird because we have pretty much trained her to not whine or bark. So im still trying to figure out how to deal with that. I think its because shes been the only one thats gotten attention the whole 3.5 years of living here and she thinks she is just the queen of the house. She will have to learn!
When i have to wake up early, this is usually what i wake up to. Even though her crotch is like staring at me, its still inviting to just crawl back in bed to snuggle these two. haha

Now that February is coming up, we are looking forward to Valentines day and our day off together. We get 1 day off together and thats 1 day every 4 weeks. Thats how much our schedules clash. All the other days are filled with work, babystting, his school, my school, church then family. So our 1 day off is one we look forward to allll month!

Searching for answers.

So normally when I blog, I really try to be optimistic in my posts. But sometimes writing  down my frustrations is healthy I think. It helps me and is nice to read back on them and see how things have improved or how i personally have changed.

Today I have hit another breaking point. Frustrated beyond words. Feeling mostly mad. This last week my stomach has been on a rollar coaster ride. Yesterday i felt better than normal and i was excited that the next day i had work and was probably going to feel better than normal which makes life so much easier. When i woke up this morning for work i was so wrong. Why was i feeling so aweful. The day before i had eaten eggs with toast along with potatoes, roast and carrots. I dont understand whats so bad about that? I dont understand why thats so "unhealthy" to make me so sick today. I texted my sister venting how my life sucks and how i just get sooo frustrated with my stomach and how i wish so badly i could just feel healthy! Im so beyond tired of feeling like garbage every. single. day. litterally. And im especially tired of it controlling my life. Even though i think i know whats triggering it, there has GOT to be more to it. And since doctors dont take it seriously and basically waste my time, i am going to figure it out on my own. Ive tried healthy diet and exercise and have gotten nowhere. So now Im going to start this process by going on a gluten free diet. Since there is gluten in basically everything, and basically everything makes me sick, what do i have to lose? oh yeah, my favorite foods like pizza and pastas and breads. But if giving those up will make me feel better, it will hopefully be worth it. So tonight im planning out meals for the next two weeks and tomorrow im hopefully going grocery shopping for 2 weeks worth of gluten free meals. If any of you know of gluten free or have any advice for that id love to hear it :)

Even though i never feel good and have extra rough days like today, i try to keep in mind that i am still so blessed. It helps me get through these frustrating times. I know it could always be worse. Thanks to my husband for sticking by my side through it all. I think he is the best person in this whole entire world. I am so lucky to have him for eternity. Here's to the next couple weeks of gluten free! Lets pray this will be my answer.

New Years Eve

For new years eve this year we went bowling with my family and then out to ice cream afterwards! Such a great night :) I of course kicked butt. And by that i mean i totally lost the game. hahaha

I have been practicing my nails. I chose to do some feathers and felt like they turned out pretty good :)

As for other news, Caleb is officially registered for school and starts this week. I am going to be babysitting a little 8 month old 3 days a week till the end of May. I am excited for that! i will for sure be busy. Working 3 days a week at the salon, tending a cute little girl 3 days a week and still doing my dental assisting school. But, i am excited :) My sister is moving to Pocatello this week and Im pretty sad about it. Me and her are so close and even though its only a little over an hour away, i know we wont see eachother near as often as we have been. But, I am excited for them and to start school and move onto the next step in their lives. Im really excited for this new year and hope that its a successful one!

Christmas time

This year for christmas we kept it simple and hung out with both sides of the family which was perfect! it was a great day!
So this was before Christmas and there was frost on every branch and everything. it was so so so pretty outside!

Me and Kristie

Christmas day with this handsome guy!

Hahaha so Calebs mom is quite the gal. Gave these to Caleb as a funny joke and they were hillarious. I was dying! Those wipers actually wipe the lenses and those lights blink. So funny!

Caleb opening his gift from me

Libbie getting her gift (more toys) from me and caleb

This picture doesnt do it justice but caleb gave me some real black diamond earrings. i had been wanting black ones for a while so these were better than i had ever wanted. perfect gift!

Everyone at my parents house opening gifts. And of course everyone was loving on that cute nephew of ours.

Shandell and Ethan playin with the babe.

Lane playing his new electric guitar

Kristie playin with the munchkin

And the nephew playin with his new toy from grandma and grandpa. such a doll!

After my parents we went to calebs grandmas house and had a huge christmas dinner. I am SO grateful that me and caleb dont have to travel to be able to visit home. My heart seriously goes out to those that have to travel even a couple hours to visit home.

Christmas was great! It was simple and just awesome to spend it with the family. I hope everyone had as great of a day as we did.

Maggie girl

So last month ahead of Thanksgiving, my families dog Maggie just dissapeared one day. And she didn't come home. We had no clue what had happened because that was so not her. My family looked everywhere for her and had people keep an eye out for her. She didn't come home. My family was sad about it, especially my sister Kristie. She gets so attached to her animals. Maggie was basically known as her pup. She took care of her every single day. They ended up getting another dog because Maggie was still gone. Everyone was sure she had been hit by a car or something and wasn't going to return home. Well, tonight, we finally found out what happened to Maggie.

I was out at my parents house for the day and my sister Kristie was looking on craigslist and came across a page that said, "missing yellow lab, no collar." The picture looked a whole lot like Maggie. She gets so excited and shows my dad and asks to see if he'd call the number to see if it was her. My dad told her it wasn't Maggie. She kept asking how he was so sure he knew. He looked at my mom with a face like they needed to tell us something. He told us that the neighbor had found Maggie in the canal and was dead due to a beaver trap that had killed her. My dad found out on Thanksgiving and didn't want to tell us about it because it was not something he wanted to share. She did not suffer because the trap was around her neck and snapped and killed her before she would have even known what had happened. And i am grateful she did not suffer. But, it was so hard to hear and especially hard to see how my sister was just heartbroken. It's crazy to me how attached we get to animals and how much joy they bring. Even if you aren't an animal lover, they make you laugh and are the best companions in the world.

I'll always remember how you would eat and fetch apples picked right off the apple tree, fetch a whole freakin tree branch (no joke, hillarious), hide if you heard the boys shooting, run around the yard in hypermode, lick my hands, haul into your 2 foot house (she loved it. she wouldnt go in the one that actually fit her.) if me and Lane tapped on the roof of it, love attention, and sure loved Kristie. You were what made her excited to come home to. You brought lots of laughs to my family. You were a great dog and will be greatly missed. RIP Maggie girl. I'm sure you are playing in puppy heaven with all our other pups and having the best time eating apples. ;)

December doings

This month has been a pretty low key month. So lately i have been doing some crafts. Is that a surprise at all? ha no.

All of this wood came from my dads shop that we was gonna throw away anyways! and i love it because i dont have to go out and buy all these things to do my crafts.

The weather has finally started to warm up a little. Last week we have some pretty foggy days and because of it, we had some gorgeous days!
This picture doesnt do it justice but every tree and ever single branch had icy snow of them so it made outside gorgeous!

We got ALL of our christmas shopping done! YAY! we kept it SO simple this year and thats probably why it was so easy. With Christmas coming up, it just brings back so many memories. All the past Christmases. I have been missing my grandparents a lot lately. I dont know if its just because i simply miss them or if its because christmas is coming up and i know we wont be doing our traditions with them again. So, we have been starting new traditions. Which are great too, just different. Also this year, i cant help but remember last christmas. And now that things are a lot better this year, i'm a bit angry at myself about last year and how childish i was acting. Where things were so different i think thats why it was so hard. But, im so grateful things are better now. Helps me remember the true meaning of christmas.

Tonight i attended my work christmas party. And it was so much fun! I am so grateful for such a wonderful job. I truly am so lucky. I love all of the girls there and Tami is awesome. I love the place, the atmosphere, the girls, and im really starting to love what i do. At first i just didnt know if it was for me and parts of it was still really confusing. But now i am far enough into it and have learned SO much since working in a salon that it has been so much more fun. Im starting to have some return calls which is awesome. So, things at Tami's are going great!

Ive been tinkering around on the internet a lot and made myself our new 2014 calender which turned out so good! Im pretty giddy about it! I also was able to send out chrismas cards this year which also turned out great!

And this is my cute nephew that i wanted to add on here just for smiles. Isnt he adorable!? Love those little cankles and rolls of his ;)

And now i am just looking forward to Christmas and a couple days of work to spend it with family! Happy holidays!!
