project complete!

this is what ive been workin on for a while now :) and finally i finished it! not the best but it was my first and im not complaining. there are a few mistaked but eh...you learn as you go i decided. now...if i can just convince caleb that it needs to be put to use SOON!! ;)

GI JOE day

well today at school there was an up do competition and my little sister was kind enough to let me do it on her. THANKS KRISTIE! you saved my hiney! it was awesome to see what some of the girls came up with! me on the other hand kept it quite simple. i thought it turned out decent where im only in my first quarter of school. my friend bexy did a hairdo where there was a GI Joe guy climbin up this volcano do...anyways, lets just say that by the end of the day half the girls had GI Joes in their hair. we're weird, i know. but it was a good day and there were lots of laughs. just what i needed! and to top the day off, my and caleb went on a date. so much fun! here's a few photos.

oh my cute little dog. the poor thing got groomed and got another shot today and she HATES going. she is now sore from her shot and its all red and she is just bein sad :( poor thing. so this is where she has sat all night. right on her momma's lap curled up on my pillow and under my blanket.

Sundays...

sundays, oh how i love you!! such a nice day :) my day consisted of...

1. we went to church! and we are proud of ourselves for going :)
2. i got a new calling which is being put in the nursery! im for the most part pretty excited. if im going to get a calling im not complaining that its in the nursery haha
3. i made dinner for my family and spent the night with my family.
4. My good friend Katie also came out for dinner which was fun!
5. i went and visited my grandma
6. painted my 2 sister's nails and my little brothers toe nails for practice ;)
7. it was a pretty good day. i sure love sundays. its a day i get to just relax and not have to do a single important thing. and the best part is that both be and caleb have nothing so we get to spend the day together. its fantastic :)

too bad he took off the nail polish right after i painted them. they looked real good!! and dont mind my messy hair. i get tired of styling it sometimes ok! and when i dont style it it looks like so...

cheesecake or tart raspberry..but they're alll dang good.

YES!! alll through school. i absolutely HATE when people call me Shaylee. not a fan of the name. and i really dont think Shalei is hard to say but whatever.

6. If you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

white cake with cream cheese frosting, a scoop of strawberries and a dollop of cool whip :)

probably spiderman. i like those movies

if this question were asked to me like 5 years ago i would have said yes. but overtime, i have gotten terrified of hights so now i'd proabably say no :(

i seriously would just love to go to Hawaii.

Remember how i said i stress really easily over things? well im seriously terrified that Caleb gets killed in a car crash or something crazy and leaves me here on this earth alone. crazy i know.

As for other news, nothin new. i started to make a baby blanket today! its gonna turn out super cute!! no baby on the way but hopefully someday this blanket gets used!

i know i know. good things do happen! its finally a positive post and not me complaining about life and such. im tryin. anyways, tonight after a freeeaakin looong day at school me and caleb squished in a fun lil date. nothin huge but we got to spend time with eachother which is what counts! so he finally got home from work at 7 30. we ran to tesoro and got our soda then came back home and made home made pizza and trust me folks, it was fantastic. we made pizza and listened to music. then watched dispicable me and ate our pizza, drank our soda, and did a bit of snuggling :) my favorite part :) it was a good night! muchly needed.

oh i just love this man with all of my heart <3

he's just bein concerned for our little Libbie girl that was beggin for some cheese. 

My dearest grandpa...

my dearest grandpa,
as you were getting sick, memories came to me. and when you passed, even more memories came to me. remember the times i used to sit on your lap as you would mow the lawn? or the times i would walk with you to your mailbox to get your mail? the times you'd call at 6 a.m. to see if me and my older brother would go fencing with you? the times you let me drive your truck with your help? the times i'd help you irrigate? or help you gather the eggs from the chicken coupe? the times you and grandma would come over for sunday dinners? the times i'd watch out my window waiting for you to pick me up to help you feed the cows? wagon rides? sleigh rides? the times me and you would sit on your patio just enjoying the fresh summer air? the times i came over to eat a bowl of ice cream with peaches on top with you at your table? the times i'd sit in your barn with you makin knot heads and carving things into horns? the times you'd tease me about my hair color? or the times you'd tease me while jumping on your tramp? the time you made me ride bareback? the times i'd hold your hand because im scared to walk past bulls? the times you'd let me sit on the back of the 4 wheeler while you drove (a grand 5 mph ;) )? the times you drove me home from church? the day of my graduation? my wedding? the times i'd come visit you in the hospital? the traditional rootbeer floats? the stories you'd tell every christmas eve? the times you'd come over every christmas day to see what we all got? i have SO many memories and this list could go on forever. i remember one specific time and it has stuck with me forever. here's the story.

me and my cousins were playing in my grandpas basement and were looking at his arrowheads and playin around with them. we were takin them out of the case they sat in and as i was looking at one, i accidently dropped it and it broke. so i picked up the pieces and put it back in the case and put the pieces together so it looked half decent. i didnt know what to do. i didnt tell me grandpa what had happened because i was scared i would get in trouble. anyways, a few days pass and my grandpa walks over to my house. he pulls me aside and gently asks if i was playing with his arrowheads and if i had broken one of them. i sat there and deep down i panicked. i said that it was my cousin trent who broke it and that i didnt touch them. so he goes over to my cousins house and asks trent if he broke it. and trent said no and that it was me who broke it. so grandpa came back over to my house and asked me again if i had broken his arrowhead. i remember looking straight into his deep blue eyes and could feel the guilt building. i simply lost it and broke down in tears. i told him what had happened and that it was an accident and that i was very sorry. grandpa pulled me close and gave me a gentle hug. he said that it was ok and that he wasnt mad. days passed and i was in my room going through some things and found an arrowhead that my grandpa had helped me make a while back. so i took the arrowhead and walked over to my grandpas barn where he was painting. i told him i was sorry and tried to give him my arrowhead so he could replace the broken one. my grandpa grins and says for me to keep it and gives me another hug. thats the story. he taught me how its wrong to lie and from that point on i have been one that cannot get away with lieing. i feel too guilty. and every time i try that experience pops into my head. and for my i simply cannot get away with it. im a horrible lier.

grandpa, you taught me so much in life, and i looked up to you often. know that your funeral was filled full and  that it was such a nice ceremony. i felt your spirit there. the weather was beautiful. sunny, and warm, you could hear the canels running and the birds chirping. you will truely be missed. i love you so much! R.I.P grandpa!

there are so many more pictures but a lot are on my parent computer. what an awesome man he was. he will truely be missed. he was a great father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. i love you grandpa!

Lincoln! and new hairs!

So, this is my nephew Lincoln. and is he not just the cutest!! me and caleb got to watch him for a couple hours and i just love this boy. he's at the stage where he is pulling himself up and just so happy!! love this little munchkin!

And for other news, both me and Caleb came down with somethin and it hit fast. he's got a sore throat and is constantly coughing and me my tonsils feel so swollen and its makin my neck a bit puffy. nose is stuffed yet runnin. i hate being sick.

my mom surprised me by coming into school the other day for a pedicure! it was so fun to jusst have her relex and just be able to talk to her about life. it was much needed. i decided that, no matter what age you are, you always need your mom. my mom is absolutely great. i want to be JUST like her some day. and here are pics of my new hair. i cut it even more since these pictures but you get the general idea. and i think next week im gonna dye it dark again. we'll see.

and now the front part has got alot more layers and goes better with the spikes which i like. but yeah! thats all thats gone on!
