Christmas time

This year for christmas we kept it simple and hung out with both sides of the family which was perfect! it was a great day!
So this was before Christmas and there was frost on every branch and everything. it was so so so pretty outside!

Me and Kristie

Christmas day with this handsome guy!

Hahaha so Calebs mom is quite the gal. Gave these to Caleb as a funny joke and they were hillarious. I was dying! Those wipers actually wipe the lenses and those lights blink. So funny!

Caleb opening his gift from me

Libbie getting her gift (more toys) from me and caleb

This picture doesnt do it justice but caleb gave me some real black diamond earrings. i had been wanting black ones for a while so these were better than i had ever wanted. perfect gift!

Everyone at my parents house opening gifts. And of course everyone was loving on that cute nephew of ours.

Shandell and Ethan playin with the babe.

Lane playing his new electric guitar

Kristie playin with the munchkin

And the nephew playin with his new toy from grandma and grandpa. such a doll!

After my parents we went to calebs grandmas house and had a huge christmas dinner. I am SO grateful that me and caleb dont have to travel to be able to visit home. My heart seriously goes out to those that have to travel even a couple hours to visit home.

Christmas was great! It was simple and just awesome to spend it with the family. I hope everyone had as great of a day as we did.

Maggie girl

So last month ahead of Thanksgiving, my families dog Maggie just dissapeared one day. And she didn't come home. We had no clue what had happened because that was so not her. My family looked everywhere for her and had people keep an eye out for her. She didn't come home. My family was sad about it, especially my sister Kristie. She gets so attached to her animals. Maggie was basically known as her pup. She took care of her every single day. They ended up getting another dog because Maggie was still gone. Everyone was sure she had been hit by a car or something and wasn't going to return home. Well, tonight, we finally found out what happened to Maggie.

I was out at my parents house for the day and my sister Kristie was looking on craigslist and came across a page that said, "missing yellow lab, no collar." The picture looked a whole lot like Maggie. She gets so excited and shows my dad and asks to see if he'd call the number to see if it was her. My dad told her it wasn't Maggie. She kept asking how he was so sure he knew. He looked at my mom with a face like they needed to tell us something. He told us that the neighbor had found Maggie in the canal and was dead due to a beaver trap that had killed her. My dad found out on Thanksgiving and didn't want to tell us about it because it was not something he wanted to share. She did not suffer because the trap was around her neck and snapped and killed her before she would have even known what had happened. And i am grateful she did not suffer. But, it was so hard to hear and especially hard to see how my sister was just heartbroken. It's crazy to me how attached we get to animals and how much joy they bring. Even if you aren't an animal lover, they make you laugh and are the best companions in the world.

I'll always remember how you would eat and fetch apples picked right off the apple tree, fetch a whole freakin tree branch (no joke, hillarious), hide if you heard the boys shooting, run around the yard in hypermode, lick my hands, haul into your 2 foot house (she loved it. she wouldnt go in the one that actually fit her.) if me and Lane tapped on the roof of it, love attention, and sure loved Kristie. You were what made her excited to come home to. You brought lots of laughs to my family. You were a great dog and will be greatly missed. RIP Maggie girl. I'm sure you are playing in puppy heaven with all our other pups and having the best time eating apples. ;)

December doings

This month has been a pretty low key month. So lately i have been doing some crafts. Is that a surprise at all? ha no.

All of this wood came from my dads shop that we was gonna throw away anyways! and i love it because i dont have to go out and buy all these things to do my crafts.

The weather has finally started to warm up a little. Last week we have some pretty foggy days and because of it, we had some gorgeous days!
This picture doesnt do it justice but every tree and ever single branch had icy snow of them so it made outside gorgeous!

We got ALL of our christmas shopping done! YAY! we kept it SO simple this year and thats probably why it was so easy. With Christmas coming up, it just brings back so many memories. All the past Christmases. I have been missing my grandparents a lot lately. I dont know if its just because i simply miss them or if its because christmas is coming up and i know we wont be doing our traditions with them again. So, we have been starting new traditions. Which are great too, just different. Also this year, i cant help but remember last christmas. And now that things are a lot better this year, i'm a bit angry at myself about last year and how childish i was acting. Where things were so different i think thats why it was so hard. But, im so grateful things are better now. Helps me remember the true meaning of christmas.

Tonight i attended my work christmas party. And it was so much fun! I am so grateful for such a wonderful job. I truly am so lucky. I love all of the girls there and Tami is awesome. I love the place, the atmosphere, the girls, and im really starting to love what i do. At first i just didnt know if it was for me and parts of it was still really confusing. But now i am far enough into it and have learned SO much since working in a salon that it has been so much more fun. Im starting to have some return calls which is awesome. So, things at Tami's are going great!

Ive been tinkering around on the internet a lot and made myself our new 2014 calender which turned out so good! Im pretty giddy about it! I also was able to send out chrismas cards this year which also turned out great!

And this is my cute nephew that i wanted to add on here just for smiles. Isnt he adorable!? Love those little cankles and rolls of his ;)

And now i am just looking forward to Christmas and a couple days of work to spend it with family! Happy holidays!!

My dad...

My dad is one heck of a fella. Yesterday he calls me at 8 a.m. wondering if im up and moving around.....clearly he still has a hard time remembering that if its my day off im sleeping in till at least noon. HORRIBLE habit i am fully aware. Long story short, my tire has been going flat on my car for months now and i have just kept on having my dad fill it up. And every time i have taken it to him hes told me to go get it fixed. But, i kept forgetting about it and have just been lazy and scared of what the bill would come out to be. So i never took it in. So that's why he called me yesterday at 8 to see if he could take my car in. So, he came and took my car and when he got back he had gotten my tire fixed, my remote fixed that hadnt worked in probably two years, a spare key (we had never owned one because they are over $100 dollars to get), and he filled my tank with gas. And he wouldnt let me pay a penny for any of it. I seriously broke down in tears after he left because i was so grateful. I am so blessed to have such great parents that are willing to help out in any way they can. Weather it be by helping us out with our car to simply being able to be there for anything.

At work, i have multiple clients mention that their parents are divorced and every time i just cant help but be SO grateful that my parents are still together and that they are close. They are the best parents anyone could ask for. The older i get and the more responsibilities i get the more i realize how good they raised my and my family. I truly appreciate their love, support, and their ability to raise us all the way they did. I love my family! And i love my dad :)
This is a couple years old but it shows their happiness. There people right here are my rocks! Love you guys :)
