Niederer Christmas party

We had our Niederer Christmas party a couple weeks ago. Last year is when they started doing this and I didn't go because Kinley was only a few weeks old and I didn't want to take her out and about yet. This year, the party was pizza at our brother and sister in laws house, bowling, and a movie. Me and Kinley left after bowling because 1, it was star wars, and 2. There's no way I would be able to hold my busy one year old still through a movie during her bed time. The party was fun and Caleb won bowling of course haha

Kinley's 1 year family pictures, SLC, and a couple randoms

Last week, my brother took some family pictures of us. I wanted some where Kinley had just turned one. I also wanted a winter family picture for Christmas cards that I got sent out.

One of my favorites

Another favorite.

All the heart eyes :)

On Wednesday, we headed out of town again to Salt Lake for Kinley's neurologist appointment. I was a little nervous that she was going to be kinda fussy because she had her 1 year well check a couple days prior where she got 5 shots. :( So sad. She did good though! We got there and checked into our hotel, ate our early dinner since we were starved, and then decided to last minute head to temple square for a bit. It was freezing so we didn't stay long. Long enough to walk around and see the lights. It worked out because we didn't have a ton of time since it was just a quick trip.
Pictures never do it justice, but I loved the view from our room. I love the snow on the mountains.

After temple square, we headed back to the hotel, and got settled in for the night. Thank goodness for King size beds. Kinley usually ends up in our bed and there is always much more room for me when we're in a king. ;) The next morning, Kinley got up at her usual 6 am and we decided after a little bit to go down to the lobby for breakfast so Caleb could sleep for a bit longer. We got ready and headed up to her appointment that morning. Kinley is doing super great which we could not be more grateful for. I had all my questions answered and we were on our way. Since we just got her blood work done a few weeks ago, we opted out of doing it this time and are just going to get it done here in 3 months again, then we don't have to go down to Salt Lake for 6 months this time unless she has any break through seizures! Woo! We went from every month, to 3, now we're to 6. So this is good! We wanted to hurry and get on our way since we were getting winter storm warnings from Salt Lake till home. We got to Tremonton when it started to snow and it snowed the rest of the way home. It was extremely foggy and at times you could only see the car in front of you. Some areas the roads were not good, others they were ok, but for the most part, traffic was slowed down so it took a little longer to get home. But we did make it!
This was when it was looking good. It was mainly through the Malad pass that it was really bad. I hate traveling in the winter on bad roads. Gives me the worst anxiety! Glad for a good report and that we don't have to go back for 6 months! Yay!

Here's a few randoms

ALWAYS only has one sock. She always pulls them off.

Another random time that she just fell asleep mid playing.

Christmas shopping

We got a snow shovel delivered to us and it came in the biggest box! Our entire family fit into it easily and Kinley was having a hoot ha

Kinley decided to wake up at 3:45 a.m. for the day. I was so tired of fighting it so Peppa Pig it was. Very typical for this baby. Zombie doesn't even begin to describe the mood for this mama.

Having fun tagging along while we Christmas shop.

Kinley turns 1!!!

My baby is 1! Oh so many feelings!! I swear it was yesterday we were driving to the hospital to FINALLY meet this baby. I remember the day like it was yesterday and it was hands down, one of the best, most special days I've ever lived.

A week or so ago, I had done my own little photoshoot. I tried to somewhat mimic a couple ideas I had seen on pinterest. It was SO much fun! All but the cake. haha. If you know me, you know I DO NOT bake, or really even cook. I am horrible at it. The cake was a nightmare but I HAD to make something work because I had nothing else. Next time, I will happily order one haha. Besides the cake, and Kinley messing up my backdrop a million times throughout the shoot, It turned out good! I feel like I got some good pictures and I am so happy I have them. There were tons of pictures, but here is just a few of my favorites.

For Kinley's actual birthday, we kept it very simple. I originally was going to have a small get together with family. With her birthday being the day after Thanksgiving, most family was seeing other family and was just busy. So, we kept it just the 3 of us and I'm glad we did. I had decorated the kitchen and then we gave Kinley her present that afternoon. She LOVES it. She plays with it all the time! It was such a fun day spent with just my little family. I had cried off and on throughout the entire week just because it's so bittersweet! I know I am not the only mom out there that does haha

Both her and Libbie loved the balloons. Libbie ended up popping I think like 10 of those things haha

Me and Caleb got her this princess scooter

Clearly she loves it :)

Can't NOT have a family picture on such a big day!!

Happy 1st birthday to my sweet and special girl. It has been a whirlwind of a year. Thanks for teaching me patience, for being my little sidekick, for forcing me to somewhat enjoy mornings, and everything else in between. I never knew I could survive on so little sleep for 12 months straight, would have to change SO many blowouts, deal with so much worry and stress, have so much fun, be happier than ever, or have my heart exploding with love for this sweet babe. Oh how she has changed our lives. It's been a year full of adventures and we are excited for many, many more years to come. Happy 1st birthday my Kinner bug. We love you more than you will EVER know.
