A little catching up

A couple of weeks ago, my sister had to babysit our favorite kiddos Talon and Oakley. I hung out with them all day. We went to Artic Circle for lunch, Petco (since the zoo is closed), the mall to ride the rides, Target to shop around and at Shandell's apt to watch movies, make home made pizza, give the kids their baths and put them to bed. Such a fun day.

My families dog Maggie just dissapeared one day. Just our luck. So they got a new puppy! His name is Tucker and hes a corgi/mini aussie and is the cutest thing on earth! I want one!

My whole family got together last sat night and went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. And as always, was a hoot. Im so blessed to live by all of my family. I know people out there that get to do that once every 3 yrs so for me to be able to get together with my whole family most every week is such a blessing.

The other night i was bored so i decided to put up our christmas tree! I normally ALWAYS wait till after thanksgiving but, eh, i caved this year. It was just me and Libbie. I turned on some pandora christmas music and went to town. quick story. I found a box of lights in my christmas decorations box and decided id put them up in the house somewhere this year. After i got the tree set up and decorated, the stockings hung and everything, i hung up these lights around our doorway. I pinned them up and they were perfect! I stepped back to look at the finished product and was so thrilled. My tree looked great, i actually had a tree skirt this year (last year libbie pooped on our old one and ruined it :( ), my lights looked great, and i was happy. Then i noticed on my lights around the door that one little bulb was out. So, i decided id switch it out. Well, when i pulled on the bulb to replace it, more than half my lights went out. I tried everything to make them work again and they wouldnt. i was SO dissapointed! all that work for this? haha ughhh. i was annoyed. So, i took a pic, then took them down cause i hate half lit up lights.

I got together with my sister and siblings today. Me and my sister ended up making a snowman craft which turned out so cute! 

And for other news, Tami's is going good! I really enjoy working there! Im still doing my dental assisting school and am surprisingly loving it. I love learning about teeth!

Caleb is still staying busy with Big Juds and starts school in January again. 

Libbie is still her chipper self which makes us so happy shes ours. What joy she brings to me and Caleb. 

We've been able to work our schedules out a bit better so we are able to see each other more which has been so great. It's so hard when schedules clash so much you dont really get to spend a lot of time with your spouse! So we have been grateful for that! 

We do have ANOTHER nephew on the way! my goodness me and Caleb are doomed. We have 1 niece and this will be nephew #10. So im sure we'll end up with all the girls. oh goody. Still super excited though :) 

We are excited for the holidays and what they have to bring! It will be nice taking a break from school and work and spend it with loved ones.

Introverts

Yesterday the 9th, my family had an early thanksgiving because its when all our family was able to get together. It was a great day! i started with work and was busy back to back with appointments which was awesome! Then we headed out to my parents house for thanksgiving. Its so nice to get with all my family. They are such a hoot! I swear when my dad gets with his 3 brothers, their true colors come out and all the rest of us hear the "remember when...?" stories. And my goodness they were just trouble makers! Makes my trouble making days sound great compared to what they did!
Anyways, all week Caleb has been talking about how he wanted to go see the new Thor movie. So we decided to go after we spent time with my family. Long story short, we pull into the theater and saw how many stinkin cars were there. I parked the car and we both just looked at each other and we both new what each other was thinkin.....we drove back home. hahahahaha we are not much of the people type. We dont like going out, we're not a huge fan of crowds, we dont like going out with people for sure. (unless its family), we like to sit at home and just be with each other. I dont think its a bad thing ha but sometimes i wonder if we need to push ourselves to be a little bit more social. Ive had people ask me things like "dont you love going out with other couples for dinner or to have a game night or just hang out with them?" in my head im thinkin, "absolutely not. haha no offense but no. We in fact really dont like that. First off, our time is limited. So when we do have time, we like to spend it with each other. And second, we are true introverts. Then i get other people that ask, "do you ever get sick of your husband and you just need to get out with friends?"....nope. ha im serious. Somethin about mine and calebs relationship just works. I could be with him 24/7 and be 100% happy. Plus, if i were to get tired of him, id rather be alone than with friends. If i do hang out it is ALWAYS with my sister Shandell. we are super close. But for reals people, we like to be home. I look back like when we were dating and i always loved to go out. But kinda realized it was so i could go out with Caleb. Now that hes all mine, we are happy to be home :) Introverts are we! and im not ashamed. :)

Husbands birthday!

It was Caleb's 24th birthday today! When we woke up i asked him what he wanted to do today. And all he said was "hm, stay home." eeehh...ok? So, thats what we've done. He wanted Dominos for his birthday lunch ( i really must need to step up on my cookin skills) so thats what we did. Otherwise, its been a day full of movies, shows, and COD. lazy day. Im not complaining. He is such a home body that has more fun hanging out at home than going out somewhere. Happy birthday to Caleb! Looovee you!

This was his present that he got a couple weeks early. He had been BEGGING for his new keyboard for who knows how long.

Grandpa Arnold

So as my last post said, Caleb's grandpa Arnold passed away one halloween. His viewing was yesterday and the funeral was today. Yesterday before the viewing, we met up at his grandmas house for a lunch with all of his family. It was nice to be able to meet other members of his family that i had never met before. And what a hoot they are. They are a family that even in sad times can just laugh at fun memories rather than sit and be sad. And that makes hard situations so much better. His aunt Jackie is for sure the funniest gal ive ever met in my life. She makes you laugh till tears stream down your face. Anywho, after the lunch we headed over to the viewing. It's strange walking into those anymore. I remember my very first viewing and how i had not prepared myself at all. It was the weirdest thing ever to see a dead body that is just lifeless. And now the older i get its easier to go because i know i have the knowledge of the gospel and know that i will see these people again. Then for today, the funeral was great. Jackie did the life sketch and of course we all just laughed the whole time till our cheeks hurt. Makes funerals not so hard when you laugh at the good times rather than cry the whole time because your loved one has passed. He was buried in the Rexburg cemetery. It was a bitter sweet day. Until we meet again grandpa Arnold.

Halloween

Halloween started out not so great. Caleb and i found out Caleb's grandpa passed away :( It was bitter sweet. Viewing will be Sunday and funeral on Monday. More from that after monday. As far as halloween, both me and Caleb had to work. I had to dress up for work so I dressed up as a cat. Easy. Work was way slow so we got out early. And since I was up with Caleb the night before wayy too late, I ended up taking a 4.5 hour nap. woke up at 10:30 that night and realized halloween was over. basically. I did wake up to Caleb eating all the halloween candy. better him than me. haha. clearly we didnt get any trick or treaters. not one. So we just watched a movie till like 2:30 in the morning. Halloween is kinda lame unless you have some cool party or kids to take trick or treating with. But i guess its a great excuse to eat candy and watch movies!
